Description

The Kirkpatrick Dolphin Door Knocker brings a striking traditional detail to a front door, with a chunky curved form designed to resemble a dolphin jumping from the water.

Based on a German 16th Century design, the knocker sits across two square plates. The upper plate is used to attach the knocker to the door, while the lower plate provides a striking surface intended to help prevent indentations or marks to the door.

Produced in malleable iron as part of Kirkpatrick’s Black Antique collection, this door knocker is made at the company’s Walsall foundry. Kirkpatrick has produced ironmongery there since 1855, with the range traditionally made by skilled blacksmiths in the UK.
