Just wonder what the construction material is of these hinges- ie. Could they be used in an exterior situation- for a ‘speakeasy’ door in a garden gate??

These hinges are made from solid brass, so they should generally be fine for a lightly exposed exterior application such as a garden gate.
However, they are primarily intended for internal use, so we wouldn’t officially recommend them for fully exposed external use, as weathering may affect the finish over time.
